USCB Veteran brings expertise to BOSCA board.

The Business of Small College Athletics (BOSCA) announced today that Genia Montford from the University of South Carolina – Beaufort has been added to the BOSCA Advisory Board.

Montford has worked at USC-Beaufort since 2003 and currently serves as the Associate Athletic Director/Senior Woman Administrator. In her position, Montford oversees auxiliary services - eligibility and compliance, sports medicine, and sports information as well as providing supervision for the Sand Sharks Track and Field programs.

In addition to her work on campus Montford has been actively engaged in Sun Conference efforts. Montford is a two-time recipient (2020 & 2021) of the Sun Conference Charles Morris Administrator of the Year Award in recognition of her leadership within USCB Athletics and the Sun Conference.

“I’m excited to add Genia Montford to our BOSCA board”, said BOSCA founder Jim Abbott. “Genia has a heart for helping others in our industry and she will be a great addition to our group as we continue to work to provide relevant programming for small college athletic administrators.”

“BOSCA has had an incredible impact on my development as an athletic administrator, allowing me to learn from and network with other small college athletic administrators throughout the country. Given the impact that BOSCA has had on me professionally, it makes the opportunity to serve BOSCA as an advisory board member, even more special. I look forward to working with Jim and the advisory board to continue to build meaningful professional development opportunities for small college athletic administrators.
