Board will implement strategic initiatives that guide the future for BOSCA

The Business of Small College Athletics (BOSCA) announced today the creation of its first ever Advisory Board. Board members are tasked with making a commitment to give back to the collegiate athletics profession, mentoring future leaders, and helping grow the BOSCA brand and network. The group will help spearhead strategic efforts that guide the future of BOSCA.

BOSCA founder Jim Abbott said, “I’m excited to have leaders from around the country that are committed to personal growth and passionate about helping others advance their careers in collegiate athletics.”  “The expertise that this group brings to the table is phenomenal and I look forward to working with the board to grow BOSCA offerings and expand the impact that we have on the industry.”

“I am thrilled to have been asked to serve on the inaugural advisory board for BOSCA”, said John Phillips, Athletic Director at Embry Riddle University. “Having attended this event every year since 2015, I know firsthand the value of this event. I am grateful to Jim Abbott for his leadership in starting this workshop that has now grown into one of the premiere events in collegiate athletics. BOSCA has been an incredibly positive influence in my life and my professional career, and I look forward to having the opportunity to help pay it forward.”

The Business of Small College Athletics is the only professional development workshop designed specifically for athletic administrators at smaller colleges and universities. Started in 2012, the event caters to administrators from NCAA Division 2, NCAA Division 3, NAIA, and NJCAA athletic departments. 2021 marks the 9th edition of the BOSCA workshop.
