University of Mary Hardin Baylor to Host First Ever Texas Event

The Business of Small College Athletics (BOSCA) announced today plans for its first-ever regional workshop in Texas.

BOSCA Regional workshops are one-day professional development and networking events that are designed for athletic administrators at small colleges and universities in a region. The workshops are organized by a group of peer administrators that represent schools in the region and offer an affordable opportunity for growth and interaction with relevant topics and presenters.

The Texas regional workshop will be held on Monday, February 23, 2026 in the McLane Great Hall located on the campus of the University of Mary Hardin Baylor. Cost to register is $145 per administrator. Departments registering 4 or more administrators will pay a discounted fee of $130 per administrator.

“We are excited to host the BOSCA regional workshop at the University of Mary Hardin Baylor,” said Dr. Hunter Sims, Vice President for Athletics at UMHB. “We look forward growing and collaborating with our peers in the region to advance college athletics.  BOSCA provides a perfect opportunity to work together, share and cultivate best practices to take back to our respective campuses.”

“BOSCA has been at the forefront of advancing professional development in small college athletics and I am honored to serve as a board member and as the chair of the steering committee for the inaugural Texas Regional Event. As our industry continues to evolve, it is essential that we adapt the way we provide professional development opportunities—whether through new spaces, formats, or locations.“ Chandler Short, Deputy Athletic Director – University of Central Oklahoma.
