Jones Joins BOSCA Advisory Board

Veteran Administrator Will Contribute to Strategic Direction

The Business of Small College Athletics (BOSCA) announced today the addition of Matt Jones, Executive Director of the Hinds Community College Foundation, to their Advisory Board.


Jones, a veteran small college athletics administrator has more than 20 years of athletic administrative experience. From 2001-2020 Jones worked in several key roles at Delta State University culminating as Senior Associate Athletic Director. Jones provided strategic planning and direction for external relations and his efforts resulted in record revenue generation for the department. Jones then moved to Samford University where he served as the Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs.


In 2021, Jones was named as the Executive Director of the Hinds Community College Foundation. In this role, Jones leads the development and external revenue efforts of one of the southeast’s largest two-year institutions of higher learning. Each year, the Hinds Foundation awards more than $3 million dollars in scholarships to deserving students while also offering much needed financial resources for faculty & staff in their pursuit of offering a high-quality education at an affordable price.

After a 20-plus year career in intercollegiate athletics, I’ve moved on to lead the Foundation at one of the southeast’s largest community colleges.
